As mentioned in my previous post, you have the unique oportunity to
enter the dragon & liberate 3 letterboxes from the clutches of
death. Here are the extremely difficult clues:
Proceed to the Channel Islands National Park visitor center, 1901
Spinnaker Drive in Ventura, CA. Go to the front counter, & tell the
staffer that you are there for the box. Tell them it is a cardboard
box, with my name on it. It is just to the right of the Cabrillo
ship model. The actual letterboxes are inside the cardboard box.
We'll arange to get the boxes from you, after you're done with them.

Clever boy... you've read Tom Sawyer, haven't you?  Perhaps you could convince one of the newbies that this is one of those fraternity hazing rituals...  just go in and pick up the boxes, and you're in!

Actually there are four boxes not three. These four were confiscated by the NPS from the Channel Islands . Ron tried to pick them up but due to a bureaucratic foul up they had misplaced them in the NPS office. We thought the " clues " to their location should be placed with LBNA since he was heading to Arizona and Gwen & I couldn't get up to Ventura . So if some eager letterboxer on the East coast wants to hop on a jet to LA , rent  a car ,drive to Ventura ( 2 hrs ) they can nail 4 hot letterboxes . What I was tempted to do --- ask for the boxes stamp in , then hand them back to the clerk, and leave .Don

Only 4? Goodness gracious, I'd say that's just the tip o' the
iceberg!

The 4 aforementioned boxes were liberated today. No info on those
that Wisp o Will mentioned.
The Anacapa Island Lighthouse box will soon be en route to Portland,
to visit folks up there before retiring. A portable
lighthouse...what a concept!
